Are the high-end products you find in TJ Maxx blemished or expired?

Have you ever been perusing through the aisles of TJ Maxx and a Makeup Forever lip kit for $7.99 catches your eye? ..... Because Yeah me too.

You think to yourself is this real? How can they sell this? Is this old? Is it expired?

I know exactly how you're feeling. Now if you know anything about me you know that I frequent Marshals and TJ maxx often. I'm always on the hunt for killer deals and you know there is no shame to $5 clothing finds! So of course while I’m in there I must scope out the beauty aisle. The one beauty item that I’m constantly buying is nail polish! An average OPI polish at TJ Maxx is $3.99 and I'm sure you know in Target it would be about 8 bucks, so how can you beat that?! I've bought countless polishes from TJ Maxx and nothing I’ve bought has ever been bad or goopy. And they’ve never gotten old shortly after buying. They've all lasted me just as long as ones I’ve bought from Cosmo Prof or Ulta. So when you're in the long lines at TJ maxx and you see that cute periwinkle

polish for $3.99 calling your name... go for it!

Now sometimes TJ Maxx and Marshals might be a miss. It really depends on the location of the Marshals/TJ Maxx. I have noticed

that the location of the Marshals plays a big factor in the brands and such that will be in that store. For example I went to

Marshals in a wealthy area and they had a lot more expensive brands for clothing such as Free People. Most Marshals will

have a lot of drugstore makeup products all time where as you kind of have to be lucky to find the high-end stuff. One tip I have for you as well is to dig for stuff move things around and look behind some of the palettes you see hanging. That’s the thing with TJ Maxx and Marshals its always unorganized and sometimes a mess. Behind all the Max Factor palettes you may find an Anastasia Contour Kit! Brands I've

seen recently at my local Marshals and Tj Maxx are MAC, Makeup Forever, Too Faced, Kat von D, Shiseido, Anastasia, bareMinerals, NYX and Elf.

Just this past week I was at my local TJ Maxx and down below are the brands and products I discovered!

There is quite Controversy over buying products from TJ Maxx and Marshals. I have done a lot of research on this and I did not find

a problem with it. People often say the products are blemished, watered down, Expired ect. But the truth is they are just overstock

from other retailers. For instance say company A has been sitting on a product for while and they aren’t going to sell it Company B

will come in and buy it off them for a discounted price. Sometimes brands will Make say 12,000 units of a product and only take

6,000 them to begin with. Then the product doesn't sell well so instead of taking the other $6,000 to try and sell they sell it to a company like TJ Maxx for again a discounted price. Which I feel like is why they always seem to have to bright or crazy colors that not everyone likes to wear.

I've seen recently the Too Faced Melted lips and the only color they had was a hot pink. Also for the past few months I've been seeing

this Makeup Forever lip kit with two bright pink lip shades in it. There’s an example of what I mean by companies sending them the products that they can't sell.

Another reason they may sell a product to TJ Maxx too is if the company has changed their packaging or discontinued something! And no that doesn't mean the product has expired at all. From what I've come across in my research is that it would be illegal for a company to water down a product just so it can sell in a store like Tj Maxx for a discounted price. But don't hold me to that information. As a licensed

Cosmetologist I have heard my whole career that Hair companies like Bed Head Change their formula for their products sold in

Target and ect. but I can't back that up to say it’s true. The only hair product I've bought in TJ Maxx before is Batiste Dry Shampoo. I

noticed no difference in buying it there verse Ulta. As far as other hair products I can't speak to that because as cosmetologist

I already get discounts on my Shampoos and ect. so for me I just have no need to buy them from TJ Maxx.

let me share with you some of the Products I've found at TJ Maxx and Marshals. For me I have been finding more stuff at TJ Maxx lately. And again there was absolutely nothing wrong the products I have bought from TJ Maxx and Marshals.
