ACW Is it legit?

If you’ve never heard of this website it’s a site that sells mostly all of the popular makeup brands, high end and drugstore, for discounted and retail price. There is a lot of speculation on the internet as to how it’s possible for this site to sell these products discounted and how do they get the products. Now not all of their products are majorly discounted, for example they sell the Naked Skin Concealer for $21 vs. $28 through Urban Decay. But then they have a lot of products that are a steal like Stila shadows for $5.99. I discovered the site through being sucked into the dark hole of youtube…video after video lead me to a blogger reviewing her haul from ACW. And after doing a lot of research on this site, watching videos on product reviews, and reading a ton of forums I made the decision to place an order. I placed the first order in 2015 and my second order a month ago.

From my understanding and my research it seems as though ACW buys clearance, factory blems, limited edition and discounted merchandise and then re sells it. I noticed if you look through Urban Decay’s clearance what ACW is selling seems to be just that. It’s the same things, the stuff on clearance or older urban decay packaging from when they changed it. So that being said if you feel weary about ordering off ACW I would check out your favorite brands sale/clearance section first.

Was the stuff I got legit?!

Yes.

Everything I ordered off this site came sealed up in perfect condition with the packing true to the brands compared to products I have ordered from the brands directly. Nothing that I received was expired. Nothing looked off or had a smell. Everything was great. My experience both times with this company was nothing to complain about.

The 1st time I ordered from them was in 2015. Like I said I discovered the site through a Youtube video of a blogger reviewing her ACW haul. She was extremely pleased with her order and that lead me to my research!

In 2015 I ordered:

4 Stila shadows for $5.99 each they go for $18.00 through Stila.

An Urban Decay Kit that came with Lashes, Mascara, and a 24hr Liner in black. I want to say I paid around $12.00 for it but I can’t remember exactly.

Nars Laguna Illuminator for $15.00 and they go for $30.00 through Nars.

In 2017 I ordered:

Becca Cosmetics Lip liner for $5.99 and they go for $23.00 through Becca.

Smashbox Mini Photo Finish Primer and Primer Water for $9.99 on Sephora they have just the mini primer for $10.00.

Sleek Precious Metals highlighting Palette for $12.49 which seems to be the average price for the palette.

Not so happy… Factory Blems..

With all this being said I have seen some unhappy reviews online. But I can’t speak to any of that seeing it hasn’t happened to me first hand. I’ve seen people saying they ordered factory blemished MAC lip sticks and they smelled funny and didn’t have a classic Mac vanilla scent. But my thing with this is isn’t that was a factory blemished item is? It is a product that got messed up in the factory and doesn’t meet the company’s standards, therefore they can’t sell it. The packaging could be off or the smell could be not right that’s a factory blem! And in ACW defense it is listed on their website that these all have some sort of issue to them and they can’t promise you anything due to that. If you would like a MAC lipstick in perfect condition then I would recommend ordering directly from MAC if ordering through ACW makes you think twice. Especially a brand so large and as prestige as them. I personally wouldn’t order a factory blemished item because for me I want the real thing in nice clean packaging. But for all other products on ACW I see no problem.

So in conclusion, yes I think they're legit but no I’m not 100% sure they are an approved authorized reseller. This is my experience with ACW and now it’s up to you if you want to place an order!
